The World Food Prize Foundation

One of Iowa’s most spectacular venues, the World Food Prize Hall of Laureates offers a magnificent setting for any occasion. This historic building in the heart of Des Moines radiates a rich history with every modern amenity necessary for your event.

The Hall of Laureates welcomes special dinner gatherings, receptions, conferences and board meetings at all times of the year. We offer space and rooms that can accommodate groups of all sizes. You can even choose to have your meeting in one room and your lunch or dinner in another.

Our wedding at The World Food Prize was magical. The stunning architecture provided a fairytale-like ambiance that wowed our out of state family and friends. We couldn't have been happier with the location of our wedding and the helpful director of communication and events!

The staff was great to work with and went out of their way to make the building "ours". They opened the building for us on off days so that we could have our engagement pictures taken there and also so that I could have a private Bridal session of photos taken there as well. The best part of the building might just be the grand staircase that will make any women feel like a princess on her wedding day.

-Mrs. Overgaard

"My husband and I recently were married at The World Food Prize Building and we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful, unique, and historic location! We were elated with how the day turned out and would recommend this space to anyone that is looking for a picture perfect venue!"

-Mr. and Mrs. Sheeder

The World Food Prize couldn't have been a more perfect venue for our Winter Wedding. This place is just GORGEOUS... straight out of a movie! Not to mention, the staff is so helpful and easy to work with. The building is easy to get around and has such great options when it comes to your wedding ceremony and reception! The classic and historic feel was exactly what I wanted and everything was perfect! I highly recommend this venue!
